The guest
Keep group ordering understandable.
Guest assignment and course preference were built so one shared order could still make sense to the people serving it.

Hotel QR ordering case study
The work began with a live boutique hotel, genuine guest orders and direct feedback from the people serving them. That operational use shaped the guest journey, the Receiver, reporting, QR production and the connected device layer.
The property is intentionally anonymised on the public site. Private commercial figures and venue-identifying operational data are not published.

What the property needed
Orders had to arrive with the correct service location, remain readable under pressure, support the property's menu structure, produce suitable QR material and leave useful information for management after the service.
Real service revealed the small details that determine whether software helps the team or becomes one more thing to work around.
The platform that emerged
The guest
Guest assignment and course preference were built so one shared order could still make sense to the people serving it.

The floor team
The Receiver gained waiting estimates, clearer states and course progress so staff could communicate honestly and move the service forward at the right pace.

Management
Order history, preparation reporting, weather context and printable reports were brought together so the operational story could be reviewed after the day.

The physical venue
The Ambient Device layer connected service states to light and OLED information, with guided setup and profile control from the venue account.

What live deployment validated
Running hotel QR ordering in a real property exposed where a digital ordering system has to carry more context than a simple basket and checkout flow.
Room, table or service-area context needs to survive from the QR scan into the live staff workflow.
Staff need a practical way to set expectations while the guest needs a visible status that reflects the service.
Course progression needs its own controls so the service remains accurate until the final course is served.
The same operational record can support order review, preparation reporting and broader venue analytics after service.
Implementation pattern
Configure areas and locations around the actual rooms, tables and service points.
Add categories, items, modifiers, availability and the service behaviour needed by the venue.
Scan the location QR, place test orders and work them through the Receiver before wider use.
Use staff feedback and the order record to remove friction from the guest and operational journey.

From setup to the room
The venue can generate single or batch material from the same areas and locations used by the platform. The exported material uses the same areas and locations configured in the venue account.

Built through live use
The most important result is practical: the platform now reflects how guests order, how staff serve and how managers review the day.
